Annual Cornhole Fundraiser: Saturday October 5, 2024
Highland Canine Connect’s 2024 Annual Cornhole Fundraiser will take place on Saturday, October 5! This popular event begins at 12:00pm, and will feature local vendors and a wide variety of food/drink options.
In 2023, our event attracted hundreds of people from the local area. Proceeds help to support our community initiatives (including our Dogs in Schools program), in addition to funding Service Dog and Police Dog donations.
The fundraiser will take place at 162 Early Ln, Harmony, NC 28634.

Support the CONNECTion of Dale and Beau!
After suffering serious injuries in the Vietnam War, Dale Wilson has been an inspiration to family, friends and the veteran community for over five decades.
Recently, Dale was matched with Beau – a Goldendoodle who will be trained as a mobility service dog. Beau will perform tasks that will significantly improve Dale’s quality of life. He will be trained and donated by Highland Canine Connect, a 501(c)(3) organization focused on creating meaningful human-canine connections.

Creating Beneficial Community CONNECTions!
We donate fully-trained service dogs to individuals who need a canine companion to help with activities in their daily lives. The benefits well-trained service dogs are endless and our goal is to help place them with those in need.
Support for our nation’s law enforcement and military has always been at the forefront of our efforts. We continue to support them with our working dog donations for those departments with limited budgets and resources.
We provide trained therapy dogs for schools as well as reading programs that combine dogs and reading for children who may struggle. We have seen tremendous success with this program so far and hope to continue adding more schools!

How You Can Help
Volunteer
Volunteers play a vital role in all of our programs. From taking service dogs in training to our School Reading Program sites, to helping out at fundraisers, our volunteer team carries out extremely valuable work in the community.
Donate
It takes over a year to train a reliable service dog. Our comprehensive training process incurs costs for food, veterinary care and training equipment. Your generous donations help to make our programs a reality for people who truly need them.
Partner
Creating connections with other organizations helps us to bring our programs into the community. We love working with enthusiastic, like-minded organizations who want to make a positive difference to the world around them.
