Organizations Helping Us To Make A Difference

Our work at Highland Canine Connect simply wouldn’t be possible without the help and support we receive from our partner organizations. Whether it is hosting a fundraiser or enabling us to hold a reading program for children, we are grateful to our partners in the community who help us to help those in need.

If your organization is interested in partnering with us, please contact us today!

Our School Reading Program is a crucial part of our work at Highland Canine Connect. With the support of Iredell-Statesville Schools, our volunteers and service dogs are able to help children read with confidence!

Our Reading Program takes place at the Alexander County Public Library every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month at 4:30 p.m. Kids are welcome to grab a book and come read to the dogs.

Rainbow Kidz is an amazing organization that do incredible work. They provide care, support and counseling for children and families suffering with bereavement.

Pine Lake Preparatory School in Mooresville offers several opportunities for our dogs. Monthly, they attend the elementary school to help kids with their homework and the also help with the High School counselors.

One of our newest partners is the Academy at Elkin – Appalachian State University.  Here, our dogs and volunteers provide additional educational and enrichment activities for the children.
