Dogs In Schools

Building And Developing Connections Between Canines And Children

Creating Connections in Schools

At Highland Canine Connect, we are proud and privileged to offer our popular school reading program to educational establishments.

Our reading program allows our service dog candidates and volunteers to help students with their reading activities. This helps to create exciting learning opportunities for children, who can’t wait to share the stories in their books with their furry friends!

Dogs are great companions for children who may struggle with a difficult word. A dog doesn’t judge and will always remain patient, providing incredible support. Our amazing volunteers are on-hand to offer assistance, in addition to teaching these kids about the amazing tasks a service dog can perform.

How Can You Volunteer?

We are always looking for volunteers to help schools with our reading program. You’ll have the chance to help children develop their reading skills, all in the company of an impeccably behaved canine companion.

Our reading program is increasing in popularity and we are constantly receiving enquiries from educational facilities who would like to be a part of it. By donating your time, we can provide this fantastic program to a larger number of schools.

If you’re interested in helping with our school reading program, fill out a volunteer application today!
